On a Saturday in May 2010, we went to an unknown recording studio in Hamilton, Ontario, right behind the oldest part of Dofasco. The building was unsigned, and non-descript, clearly old and in a state of disrepair. As we were setting up, we noticed there wasn’t much light, but the sound in the room was very good – an unexpected bonus. I must say that at this point expectations for a good recording were very low. We set up and began to practice while Steve Bigas deployed microphones. We recorded that day, and came back one more time to do After 9:00, Very Dark and AfroDizzyac.
